Dopium Wall explores the physical and digital properties of common architectural materials and textures through light and projection mapping techniques; extracting, generating, and re-generating data from its existing raw state to something other.
This experiment recognizes and recasts a site specific surface-material-texture through a single light source. The synthesis of the physical and digital texture mapping might hold a new-media future for architecture in how we alter interior spaces, with respect to its existing features, with low impact operations that resume profound atmospheric shifts.
