Horizon Studies

Times Square, NYC, 2020

Horizon Studies is a generative digital artwork based on scans of photographs taken by the artist. The photo’s pixels are scanned horizontally, then fed into an evolving feedback system which distorts the straight line scans into patterns reminiscent of waves or distorted horizons. This artwork was on display at Times Square from February to March 2020 as part of a digital art series by Lightbox NYC, in collaboration with Zaz10ts.
